THE Detroit Gun Club
The Detroit Gun Club is one of the finest pure shotgun
shooting facilities in the country. Its membership consists of business
people whose time is very valuable to them. We pride ourselves on very
quick and efficient service.
Our members enjoy a full service bar and restaurant that offers breakfast,
lunch, and dinner. We have a fully air-conditioned 3500 square foot building
with a marble and oak fireplace, a 50-inch plasma hi-definition TV. with surround
sound, along with a coordinating 25-inch TV, an oak and mirror trimmed bar,
very clean oak trimmed men’s and ladies restrooms, large windows overlooking
5 stand and fields. Also large parking areas for easy access to skeet and trap
fields, sporting clay’s, and clubhouse.
We offer a full pro shop with a large selection of shells (all gauges), clothing
line, guns, tubes, glasses, pouches, gun cases, and just about anything else
you would like us to order.
We have 8 registered trap fields, 1 wobble trap field-Pat trap and Beomat machines, 9 registered skeet fields-Superstar skeet machines, 13 station sporting clay’s course with 3 traps at each station-LaPorte and Superior machines, 8 machine 5 stand-LaPorte machines, and 4 fields with lights to oversee skeet, trap, wobble trap, and 5 stand.
Detroit Gun Club is a full service club, which means you are not asked to volunteer your services. There is paid staff to take care of maintenance and day-to-day running of the facility. There is a designated trained trapper that is assigned to you for whatever discipline you shoot. Inside the clubhouse there are waitresses to take your order and a professional counter person to assist you.
Our skeet and trap fields are hooped and teed every
day.
Our sporting clay’s course winds through pines and offers elevated stations
with a mile long groomed trail. Our course is changed at least twice a month
to offer variety to our membership. Our shooting menus offer 3 levels of difficulty.
Detroit Gun Club has been elected “Club of the Year” several times, not to mention “Club of the Decade”, and is always in the top ten for throwing registered targets.
The Detroit Gun Club offers it’s own “in house” charge system that is run by state of the art equipment that gives it’s membership monthly accurate statements along with newsletters and a calendar of events, or they can simply pay by cash.
Our registered shoots are run by computer with professional cashiering. Shooting at Detroit Gun Club can be casual with your friends or to the ultimate in competition for we host State, Zone, and National titled sanctioned events.
The cost of the membership is $650.00 per year with a $500.00 first year initiation fee. You need a sponsor and two endorsers on your membership application. They must be members of our club.
