Silver Lake Sporting Clays

At Post 46 Hunt and Fish Club

Silver Lake Sporting Clays is situated on 95 acres of scenic fields, woods, and rolling hills overlooking Silver Lake in northern Washtenaw County. This rustic and relaxed setting in the countryside provides an idyllic location for shooting sporting clays in SE Michigan. The club is located at 8890 Dexter Townhall Rd. Pinckney, MI 48169 (about 15 miles northwest of Ann Arbor) and is fully accessible on paved roads.

The facilities include a sporting clays course, which is typically laid out with 13 to 15 stations with two shooting stands at each station. A mix of manual and auto traps are used and squads referee their own targets. The paths around the one-mile course are walked very easily and readily accommodate golf carts. A new clubhouse and outdoor pavilion is present for shooter enjoyment. Free coffee and donuts are provided and simple lunch food is available.

The club is open to the shooting public on Sundays from 10 am – 4 pm and on Saturdays for specially scheduled events. During the summer on Wednesday evenings, 5-stand is open (5 pm – dusk). For additional information, the club phone is 734-426-5499(Sunday and shoot Saturday) or call Bob Peters at 734-426-8958.
